    Hi

@ellebelle Welcome! I'm so sorry you have a reason to be here, but I'm also glad you found this amazing, supportive place to help you through your healing journey. AS has personally helped me a ton over the past year, and I really hope it helps you, too. I also want to congratulate you on breaking your silence with your husband—that is incredibly scary and difficult to do and I'm sooo proud of you! Like @Poppy_ said, my PMs are also open. Again welcome! Neri
  2. Cop: "This isn't sexual abuse" (When it ABSOLUTELY WAS, he was an asshole). "At least THIS didn't happen, you're very lucky" (Which I feel like is minimizing). "Do you think he was just... excited?" (What do you mean by that??? He forcefully assaulted me... I guess???) "I've never heard his name" (Saying this to say he doesn't know his name, so he hasn't committed a crime). Old counselor: "They probably think it's minor" (referring to CPS). "You haven't really gone through anything that bad" (BULLSHIT). Also I would talk to her about my feelings and she would just stare at me, not saying
  3. Here's a few: (cussing warning, I'm angry) You didn't destroy me, a$$hole! You're a f*cked up loser! Hope you burn in hell. Karma is a reeeaall bit*h. You're an evil, horrible pedophile. I'll never be the same.
  4. Thank you so much Capulet.

  6. I'm a Gryffindor!! What about you? xD Thank you for your kind reply I'm glad I found this site, even though I'm sad it has to exist it is helpful for those of us who need it.
  7. Welcome I'm sorry you have a reason to be here (you've gone through some awful stuff), but I'm glad you're here reaching out. I'm new too and I just wanted to say that this is a fantastic step in the right direction. In fact, coming here even though you're a little unsure is really brave. Also, I don't think there is a definitive way to move forward. Instead, I think it's a different process for everyone. What works for me might not work for you. I just try to improve a little bit every day or however long it may take, and over time we realize how much all our hard work has added up
  8. Thank you Struggling88 and Kmkz Your kind welcomes mean a lot to me.
  9. I'm also new here and I agree, it seems like a really supportive, safe place where we can all talk things out. Welcome I'll tell you that healing can have its ups and downs. For me, it feels like I take two steps forward and one step back. But things really do get better, I promise. A year ago I felt so awful all the time, and now I am feeling happiness and somewhat safe again. It's just about baby steps. Also, I view healing as a lifelong journey of improvement. There might never be a moment where we say "I'm all done healing!" Instead, I think we continuously get better through
  10. Thank you so much Mary! Your welcome means a lot to me.
  11. My name is Neri. When I was eleven/twelve I was sexually assaulted and abused by someone in a position of trust. One year ago I broke years of silence and finally started my healing journey. I've been through a roller coaster—some days were fine, other days were nightmares. I still struggle to believe that my experience matters because it didn't escalate to r*pe, but I was still violated and traumatized. I look back at this crazy year and realize that I have improved, and there is hope. I am happier than I was a year ago and am finally accepting what happened to me. I wanted to
