  3. RAINN is a wonderful resource. I have used their online chat feature quite a few times. You may have to wait a little bit to connect with someone, but it is a good outlet for when you need support and want to talk with someone.

  5. Hi @Maksim Welcome to AS. I'm sorry for the things that you have went through and experienced. Mary is right, just because something is legal doesn't mean it is okay. The most important thing is how you feel. If you were uncomfortable or if you were unable to understand what was going on, it shouldn't have happened. It sounds like you are just starting to think about and process what happened many years later, and that is normal. Stuff like this can be confusing and that is why it can be beneficial to talk with others who have dealt with similar experiences. We are all here to support eac

  7. Hi @halflife I'm very sorry about the trauma you have experienced. I believe you. What happened was not your fault. It does not matter how many drinks you had. Rape is solely caused by rapist, nothing else. I'm sorry that your wife was unsupportive of you in the aftermath. But we are all here to support you through the healing process. Healing takes time and is a process, but you can and will heal from this. The shame is not yours to hold. I hope you are able to find the support you need on this site.

It is common for survivors to feel "good" for a while only to be triggered by something and find themselves struggling. Overtime as you learn your triggers and gain more coping skills, there won't be as many "downs" or at least the "downs" won't last as long. Healing really is a life
