  1. Thank you everyone. I appreciate the warm welcome. Denial has been my life long coping mechanism. Understanding the true nature of what I experienced four years ago has opened up a whole can of worms. treating my anxiety and depression has been nearly impossible so I'm hopeful working through the trauma will ease my symptoms/get me actually feeling like a survivor.
  2. Hi, I was looking into support groups in my community my schedule didn't allow me to go for several weeks so I thought I'd check this out. After four years of extreme denial, I only started talking about this in therapy a couple of months ago and It's been really difficult to function in other areas of my life as this comes to the surface. I appreciate the idea of survivors supporting other survivors. I am in another support group for addiction and I have found the community really helpful. Thank you all for your willingness to share and support one another.
