Because you're focusing on the bits of you that you don't like. What qualities do you admire in others? If you didn't have those qualities within you, or the potential to develop them, you wouldn't recognise them in others. Spend some time focusing on your positive qualities rather than your shortcomings. Are you a good friend? Do you care about people? Do you like animals? Do you want to help people? Are you generous with your time or money? Do you give to charity? Are you compassionate? Do you give good hugs? Can you sing? Do you support talented people whose work you enjoy? Do you have any talents? Are you a good listener? Would you pick up litter and put it in the bin if someone dropped a wrapper near a bin? Think of what POSITIVE things define you. The negative things speak louder, but the positive ones are buried under them somewhere if you can dive in and look without grabbing at the bad stuff as you pass

It's cathartic, I'm just tired of it now. In the week I've been away I've become vegan and ... well let's just say the world's more full of injustice than from just abusers of people. Then there's Chester's suicide, ... basically nothing has changed except I can't keep a stiff upper lip anymore. #badatbeingBritish

"Never trust anyone who, when left alone with a tea cosy, doesn't try it on." I forget who said it but it's up there with singing in the shower, I find it holds absolutely true xD

  10. When the instructions say to pour the oil in while the blender's going, don't listen, it's a heinous lie :P But yay, homemade vegan mayonnaise :)

I used sunflower oil, soya milk, sprinkling of salt, and white wine vinegar. I threw in a spring onion for good measure :P

It'd be a shame in a way, the dude's comedy gold in tweet form. Still scary as hell as a president, but as a twitter numpty, he's right up there with James Blunt, if only for laughs but not wit :P The existential crisis, alas, continues with force. Back to ideation instead of counting sheep, but it's not intent, I'm still safe and stuff, worry not for old Dante :) I'm sure it'll pass, but will take one of me acute anxiety thingers in case it helps. Thanks for the well wishes, ocean and Star.

He's talking crap about Hillary Clinton so I asked if her getting away with stuff makes what he's done in his life ok. He said to ignore "sources say" in "Fake News" because it's usually made up, I commented "First honest thing I've ever heard you say." People are suing him for blocking them because as the president, what he says is political goings on and such and people have a right to see it, so it's a freedom of information issue xD Seems a fun time to needle him knowing if he blocks me it'll hurt his case lol

  15. Just love having to deal with last minute bureaucracy, why doesn't like stress sprinkled with some more stress?

    1. limbodante

      limbodante

The only thing worse than bureaucracy... besides the spelling, jeez, who came up with that one, that took me like 12 seconds to type!... is last minute bureaucracy! That's a lotta sprinkles of stress... how about some whipped breathing to go with it? I hope things work out *hugs*

It's got sorted now, mum phoned them, but there were a few minutes of "oh crap" that disrupted my flow of positive. Now yesterday two so called friends make bacon comments on a photo I posted on facebook of a piglet, because I want a pet micropig, which is just disrespectful, and I dreamt one of the dogs died. My winning streak is well and truly done :(

Nevermind. The pharmacy convinced me of the error of my ways. Who needs optimism when you can deny a person insulin because they're not allowed to use up within a month?

      limbodante

@Free2Fly Nope not video games, I went out in the world yesterday, consorted with folks in person and such! Such fun though, steampunk people are awesome :) Dude introduced me to his boyfriend and nobody batted an eyelid, bunch of disabled people there, people were helpful if they dropped their sticks, took into account how being around people might be difficult, helped them find shade from the heat. Overweight people, skinny people, men, women, children... all equal in the eyes of steampunk. It's the only community I've ever known where the outside can be prettied up and stuff, but people only see your soul, it's such a great community to be part of, the best therapy I know.

It's possible to move on, but it takes time, and anyone who tells you your feelings don't matter are unworthy of you.
