  1. Welcome, Lilly, This is a supportive group so you should be able to find what you are looking for.
  2. Having supportive people around you and a good therapist can really help. I think it also helps to know that you can heal and that you don't have to go through it forever. I repressed a lot of things until I was old enough to deal with them but once I did allow them to resurface and deal with them (with nightmares, panic attacks etc.), it only took a few years to heal and have been fine ever since. I recently published a book on healing and then thought that perhaps I should get into some groups like this to see if I can help others that way. When the anxiety and/or nightmares weren't too
  3. Fightinghard, Welcome. Nightmares and flashbacks plus the anxiety and fear are horrible to live through. I am so sorry you are suffering like this. What have you been doing so far to heal?
  4. I started the recovery process almost 25 years ago and rarely think about having been sexually abused. Twenty years ago, I wrote a book about recovering from sexual abuse but couldn't find a publisher. After retiring, I brought my manuscript out, revised and expanded it and got it published earlier this month. I want to help others recover and give them hope when they are going through the pain and suffering of the recovery process. I look forward to getting to know others here and providing support.
