  1. I know it is a little overwhelming to realize how many people have been SA. It is good to have someone who you know understands to talk to. By sharing your burdens you lighten your load. Don't let the bad blind you from seeing the good. Take care.

    Hi

Welcome! Glad you found this site. Glad to hear you are in the healing process. I think you will like it here. I look forward to getting to know ya! Take care.
  4. I believe healing is possible, but we carry the scars forever. It changes us. My abuse happened almost 20 yrs ago. I thought the pain would slowly go away on its own. That I would just "get over it." Now I know better. If you haven't been through counceling I think it is a good place to start. I'm glad you found this site. Sharing your burden does lighten the load a bit. Having someone to talk to who you know understands helps too. Hang in there!
  5. Welcome fellow newbie! I agree with the scary part. But in order to be part of the solution instead of part of the problem we need to be willing to step out of our silence and speak the truth w/o shame. Truth is violated by falsehood, but it is outraged by silence.
  6. Welcome fellow newbie ! Relationships are hard enough w/o adding extra issues. But definitely worth the work.I hope you find what you need.
  7. Hi. I'm new here too. I look forward to getting to know you. Glad you are reaching out for help. That is where healing begins.
