  1. Hi Gift, Welcome to After Silence. I hope you find it as helpful as I have, and don't worry about your English, it's fine. You're not alone in that. Sometimes that's our only way of coping, of surviving. Be strong... Cat

  7. I went for a float tank session. Freaked out a little bit at first (dark), but then settled into it, and it was wonderful. First time since the attack that I've been calm/relaxed. Feeling only lasted four or five hours, but I'm going to do it again next week. Working with my T to teach my body that it can let down its defenses, that it's not going to happen again -I think this will help.
  8. Thank you all for your wonderful welcome.
  9. G'day. I'm Cat, and I hail from Sydney, Australia. I'm trying to work out how to move forward from this, because I know I can't go back to who I was before. My SA counsellor who I saw for the first time yesterday mentioned this site, so, well, here I am. I hope that by sharing and listening, I can understand better what is happening to me, and where to go from here. Looking forward to "meeting" some new friends who can relate to my trauma. 'Best, Cat
