    Wow, it's really been a long time since I have looked at this chart. I can't believe how much over to the right I am in the Thriver column these days. When I originally posted the chart, the majority of me was in the Victim column. I still have some Survivor aspects I need to work on in order to be be considered Thriving in that category and I'm looking forward to checking back at some point.

    I'm glad to read some of the comments in this thread.

    New members may not want to be bombarded with welcomes and insight. They may want to sit back and abosorb and maybe ask questions when they are ready. To me, its really about empowering a person to take control of their own path here. The survivor should have control over when he/she wants to step forward and be active as opposed to being an observer for a bit. A lot of us on here are very much into helping each other. If a newbie has a different color, I could see where they could possibly be inundated with greetings/advice/guidance when first appearing in chat.

    That's one of my favorite things about AS...its a place where you can feel accepted and its okay to ask questions without judgement.

    I have an iPhone 4. Geez...kind of a catch 22 here. I want to get it to work so I'd like to hand it over to my son to show him what I need but then he will know what site I am on and probably get online and check it out.

    Gonna have to see if I can do this one myself or if anyone else has some advice.

    Hey there,

    Just wondering if anyone ueses an iPhone to access chat. I know I've chatted with some people in the past who were on iPhones and I can't get mine to do it. I know I have to download a java but apparently I'm not doing it right.

    Any advice?

    Hi Ariel,

    I hope you are able to find the incredible support and love that I have found. My abuse happened over various times in my life but it was one particular stressor at work that really made everything surface. There is no time clock on when we have to deal with this, but its really good that you are facing it and not running away.
