The Struggle
Abuse does not only affect us physically. It also affects us mentally. The two most important things that I have learnt from years of dealing with trauma is that we have to learn to cope and communicate. Not just to cope and communicate; but to cope and communicate appropriately. Many people will take the negativity surrounding them in their lives and let it destroy them or hurt others (in turn perpetuating the abuse) It is so important to channel that negativity and those emotions into something positive and productive. Take the bad in your life and turn it into something good to help other people or to help yourself. Transform!
