  1. Hello Jaime! Welcome to AS. I hope you find what you're looking for here. Random note, and I hope this doesn't come off strange, but your profile states you're male. I'm unsure if that was an accident when you registered. Nevertheless, welcome
  2. Does this mean Wolfie won't be in chat...? I find this unacceptable. But yea, I noticed this morning. PM function is working as well. Someone forgot the bill, it seems
  3. You don't email a 'post' to someone. You can email a link (which unless it's a public portion of the website, they can't access it without an account) or you copy the text from your post and paste it into an email body. Secondly, if they aren't a member of AS there's a lot of questionable ethics involved in public sharing of private posts, even if they are your own, considering who may have replied. Some portions are private for a reason. Thirdly, as far as I know, there is no 'app' for AS. It may be optimized for mobile devices, but one doesn't really make an 'app' for everything. Lastly, if you're emailing it to someone, either from your email or your phone, they're going to figure out who you are. And if you are worried about your privacy in this matter, you should consider that of other members as well.
  4. Side note; I'm also a male member
  5. Hiya, Papers. Welcome to AS. I must say by your writing style and visible personality, I believe we'll get on well. I hope you find what you're looking for here. Feel free to stop by chat some time (requires 10+ post count) and say hello to the chat crew.
  6. Feel free to PM me with any questions you have about Japan. I don't want to detract from the original intent of this thread.
  7. Welcome to AS. I strongly recommend against moving here to Japan. A lot of Westerners come here with distorted perceptions and expectations and end up poor on expired visas and in some rather deplorable situations. At any rate. Hope you find what you're looking for here on AS.
  8. Hi, Renkei! Welcome to AS. Interesting fact; your name translates roughly into 'teamwork' in Japanese I am also a musician and a male survivor.
  9. There is also a chat room you can access after you have 10 posts. Welcome to AS!
  10. If I am not mistaken, secondaries do not have access to the sharing section. I could be wrong tho.
  11. Except for some reason male members can't access it...regardless of post count.
  12. Welcome! I am also a male survivor. I'm unsure if you have noticed or not, but there is a male section to the forums as well. Sad to say it's not very active since there are not very many male members, but it's there. Other than that, you are welcome to post in any of the other forums, as your topic dictates. If you ever need to talk, feel free to send me a message.
  13. Sexual Assault with violence is generally implied. When most people think of 'rape' it is in a violent manner. SO much so that a category has been added to the 'different types' that is specific for those who did NOT experience violence. I do not believe you are alone in your experience. The majority of victims have endured some form of violence (as did I as well).
  14. Well-said, Possum. Most of my concerns in a nutshell.
  15. Going to have to respectfully disagree. While I love cooking, there are plenty of forums that exist for people to exchange recipes. While it's great that there are sections of the forum where people can discuss things unrelated to survivor issues, I have seen a trend of cluttering on the boards and suggestions for multiple subforums. Do we need a subsection for everything..? Gardening? Hiking? Hamsters? I'm all for organization and categorizing like posts, but the further sectioned things become the more confusing it is and you end up with entire subsections that have a handful of posts a year.
